We will start our family vacation - our first Disney Cruise soon. But when I looked back, I felt we could have done a better job picking up a better time.
To choose the travel time, my husband's work is the first priority. We will need to pick up the time that won't affect his work.
Next, wee will avoid spring break, public holidays so we can get a great discount on the travel expenses.
Then we should check the school calendar. I regretted that I didn't do it this time. This year we had 3 teacher's work days in consecutive days. I could have considered that as a good time for family vacation. Because each county has different teacher work days, so it won't introduce the price ups on the domestic travel.
Our Disney Cruise also occurs in the week of end of school grading period. Emma will miss her last week's test and assignments and no time to make up within this grading period. So she will have an incomplete grading period. It's not really a big deal but I think it's possible we could have avoided that by doing more research picking up the vacation time.
